Some exciting things happened over the last year, from the London premiere of My Lover Spoke at JAM’s season launch concert in March to the world premiere of Movements for Philip Sharp by its dedicatee at the University of Glasgow. It was also a genuine honour to have my Canzoni et ricercari, which won the Royal Musical Association’s Tippett Medal, played by the Academy of St Martin in the Fields in July. In the meantime, I’ve been continuing my composition teaching work at the University of Cambridge and as a consultant in various schools around London, as well as working on a big new piece about which more details are coming soon… Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
